In-Demand: Entry-level construction apprentices
Are you interested in an apprenticeship and career in the construction industry as an Electrician, HVAC Technician, or Carpenter?
Do you have experience working in the construction field, but could use a certification to validate your knowledge and skills?
The NCCER CORE certification is part of the training required for many companies’ apprenticeship programs. It can help you get a foot-in-the-door to a helper or apprentice position. Topics include: Construction Math, Safety, Measurement, Power Tools, Hand Tools, Material Handling, Rigging.
Many local companies offer apprenticeships that require NCCER CORE including: Atlantic Constructors, Industrial Turnaround Corp., James River Air, Colonial Webb, Trane, Rudy Hawkins Electric, Davis & Green Electric, Woodfin, Michael & Sons.
