Exciting news ahead! The Virginia Economic Development Partnership's (VEDP) Talent Accelerator program — a program designed to spur business recruitment and growth in manufacturing, logistics and knowledge work — played a pivotal role in attracting the Lego Group's $1 billion factory complex to Chesterfield County, bringing 1,700 new jobs to the region.
Throughout 2023, VEDP turned to CCWA to lead community college talent solutions for business clients, even sending our Associate Vice President Dana Newcomer with VEDP staff to the LEGO plant in Mexico to learn about workforce structuring needs for Virginia.
CCWA has also provided training and hiring support, through the Talent Accelerator Initiative, to Civica, AMPAC, and Church & Dwight.
