As our nation celebrates Independence Day and America's 250th anniversary, we reflect on the values of service, opportunity, and freedom that have shaped our country's history. Those values are embodied every day by the service members, veterans, and military families who have sacrificed in support of our nation. At CCWA, we're proud to honor that commitment by offering educational opportunities designed to help military-connected students achieve their next mission

Here are five ways CCWA is making career advancement flexible and affordable for service members and their families:

  1. Convenience: CCWA offers courses on base at Fort Lee throughout the year, as well as daytime, evening, in-person, and virtual options, so students can always find an option that works for their schedule.
  2. Career Mapping: Our manufacturing and logistics programs fulfill career map requirements for military personnel at Fort Lee. Courses like CLA, CLT, Lean Practitioner, and MT1 can help students earn promotion points, advance in rank, and explore new roles in active duty and civilian life.
  3. Tuition Assistance: Thanks to VCCS FastForward funding, most active-duty service members and veterans may qualify for grants covering up to two-thirds of tuition costs after one year of Virginia residency.
  4. Taught by Vets: Our veteran instructors understand firsthand the challenges and goals of military families, from translating military experience into the civilian workforce to adapting to the unique circumstances that come with service life.
  5. Family Eligibility: Spouses and children are eligible for the same tuition discounts, and our short-term programs are a great fit for military spouses who need flexible, career-focused training without the commitment of a multi-year degree.
