In 2021, the Commonwealth launched the "Get Skilled, Get a Job, Give Back", or G3 initiative, offering tuition-free community college to qualified Virginians who want to prepare for high-demand careers in trades, technology and allied health fields.
FastForward workforce development courses at CCWA are one program option covered by G3 funds, which provide scholarships for tuition, fees and books to low-to-middle income families. Eligible FastForward courses include options in manufacturing, healthcare, trades and information technology, each of which can be completed in 4 to 16 weeks.
FastForward classes that are not covered by G3 may offer other forms of need-based financial assistance to cover the student's 1/3 share of FastForward tuition.
