What funding options are available?

Several financial assistance options are available to help cover the costs of many of our healthcare programs. Some may depend on the choice of program of study.

Fast Forward Grant (Formerly Workforce Credentials Grant)

  • Who qualifies? Virginia residents (12+ months)
  • How does it work? Covers 2/3 of your class tuition
  • Do I need to repay it? No, as long as you complete the training program on time and successfully

FastForward certifications are affordable, achievable, and stackable. The FastForward program offers tuition assistance for Virginia residents and is designed to be flexible to your schedule, allowing you to build your career while still being able to work. To qualify, applicants must be Virginia residents for at least one year prior to enrollment. This grant significantly reduces the cost of training by covering a majority of tuition costs, making it more accessible for those looking to start a career in the healthcare industry.

One of the biggest advantages of the FastForward Grant is that it does not need to be repaid, as long as the student successfully completes the training within the required timeframe. Many applicants also qualify for other tuition assistance, which may cover the remaining cost. Click here for all CCWA FastForward-approved programs.

G3 Initiative (Get Skilled, Get a Job, Give Back)

  • Who qualifies? Virginia residents (12+ months) who meet income thresholds
  • How does it work? Covers the last 1/3 of your class tuition (making your class free)
  • Do I need to repay it? No, as long as you complete the training program on time and successfully

The G3 Initiative provides “last dollar” scholarships for tuition, fees, and books. G3 is an income-based tuition assistance program for qualified Virginia residents whose family income falls below an identified threshold. This grant supports individuals preparing for high-demand careers in trades, technology, and allied health fields. Click here for all CCWA G3-approved programs.
